Alright guys, I found this recipe in Country Weely Magazine. There is an article and everything... tell me if you want me to post the article.... but anyways, they have the recipe for Kenny Chesney's Famous Key Lime Pie. So I thought I would share it with you guys!
Here is what is looks like::
Ok, first, you will need to know how to make the Graham Cracker Crust. So, here is how to make the Graham Cracker Crust::
Ingredients::
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/4 cup sugar
5 tbsp. unsalted butter, melted
Preparation::
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees
2. In a medium bowl combine the graham cracker crumbs and sugar
3. Add the butter, stir with a fork until blended
4. Transfer to a 9-inch deepdish pie pan and press the crumbs oto the sides and then the bottom of the pan, then press again with the bottom of a measuring cup to ensure a firm crust
5. Bake on the center oven rack for about 15 minutes or until golden brown
6. Let cool to room temperature
Now, for the pie. Here is how you make it:
Ingredients::
4 egg yolks
1can (14oz.) sweentened condensed milk
1/2 cup fesh lime juice (2-3 slices)
2 tsp. granted lime zest
One 8-oz. container whipped topping
Lime slices
Preparation::
1. Place the egg yolks, milk, like juice and lime zest in a meduim bowl and mix on high speed for about 3 minutes, or until thick
2. Pour the filling into crust and bake for 15 minutes or until the center is set but still jiggles when shaken
3. Let cool to room temperature
4. Cover with whipped topping and garnish with the lime slices
5. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours or until well chilled
